Heidelstein

The Heidelstein is 926 m high and lies in the middle of the Lange Rhön nature reserve. It attracts hikers with its idyllic open landscape and magnificent views from the summit.

The best way to reach the Heidelstein is via hiking trails from the "Schornhecke" or "Moordorf" parking lots.

If you would like to explore the Heidelstein on a circular hike, the extra tours "Hochrhöntour" and "Rotes Moor",for example, are ideal.

Numerous long-distance hiking trails also run along here, including the European long-distance hiking trails E3 and E6, the Rhön-Rennsteig hiking trail, the Heidelsteinweg and DER HOCHRHÖNER®.
